Our Projects
ReWork Research
The ReWork research team employs the principles of research justice — recognizing students, workers, and community members as experts, approaching research as a tool for action, and promoting equal access to information.
Dream Resource Center
The Dream Resource Center trains immigrant youth and allies to be at the forefront of social justice movements and achieve equity and justice for workers, families, and communities.
CARE at Work
Through a school to movement pathway of service, teaching, capacity building and research, the Center for the Advancement of Racial Equity (CARE) at Work reveals conditions of Black work in Southern California under global racial capitalism and models approaches for change.
POWER in Workforce Development
The Prosperity, Opportunity, and Worker Equity Reimagined (POWER) in Workforce Development team focuses on institutionalizing solutions that align with the high road training partnership (HRTP) framework to address systemic issues that limit economic outcomes for the most marginalized communities in California.
Global Solidarity Project
The Global Solidarity project collaborates with labor leaders, scholars, and activists to address common worker issues in the United States, Mexico, and the Pacific Rim.
Re:Work Podcast
For the past decade, Re:Work, the UCLA Labor Center podcast, has elevated stories of work to humanize and break down economic and racial justice issues. Each episode centers the life story of a worker or activist, with a focus on people of the global majority, through curated interviews punctuated with host reflections, music, and archival tape.
